Vieux Chateau Certan would date back to the 12th century， it was then written ? Sertan ?， the winery was created in the 16th century by the Scottish family De May， it took the name of "Vieux Ch・・teau Certan" in 1745， it was not until 1858 that the property was laid out as we know it today， thanks to Charles de Bousquet.The castle itself is a magnificent charterhouse with two towers， one topped with slates， the other with tiles.
